Obituary

Earl C. Beighley left this life on June 21, 2008. He was the son of Clara Beighley Morris and Norman Beighley. He was born in Sharpsburg, Pennsylvania on November 27, 1921. For the past four years, Earl resided at the McKinley Health Care Center in Canton, Ohio. Earl was a retired U.S. Government Postal Carrier. His family is proud of his service to his country as a Marine in the Asiatic Pacific campaign during World War II. Earl was a member of the Junior Order of Mechanics, the McKinley Lodge #431F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Canton, and was a Shriner. When he was able, he transported children to Buffalo for medical appointments. His humble upbringing gave him an appreciation for giving back to his community with both time and talents. Earl was preceded in death by his wife Alice (McCullough) Beighley, as well as his parents. Those surviving him are his children Linda Martin of Florida; Nancy Strimel of New York; his step-children Jerry Doscher of Canton and Mack Gordon of Canton; also his granddaughter Abigail Strimel Miller and brother-in-law Jack McCullough of Canton. He shared the love of friendship with other residents and staff at McKinley Health Care Center. Their good efforts have been so appreciated by his family when we could not be present. Friends may call (TODAY) Tuesday one hour prior to services 6-7 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home Canton. A memorial service will be held Tuesday 7 PM in the funeral home with Rev. C. David Morgan officiating. Burial will take place Wednesday 10 AM in Forest Hill Cemetery. (Arnold Canton 330-456-7291) www.arnoldfuneralhome.com
