Dymple P. Davis age 83 of Hartville, passed away on Monday December 8, 2008 at Altercare of Hartville. She was born in Gainesboro, TN on October 19, 1925 to the late Jasper and Lettie (Branch) McDowell and made a home in Hartville since the 1950's. She retired in 1988 from Teledyne Monarch after 19 years of service. She especially adored her great-grandsons and enjoyed word search puzzles and having a cup of coffee with friends. Preceded in death by her husband Clyde H. Davis in 1978; infant daughter Elizabeth; brother Raymond McDowell and sister Wilma Gentry; she is survived by her daughter Gladys Inez Preisse of North Canton; grandson Ed and Gail Griffin of North Canton; great-grandsons James and Matthew Griffin. Funeral services will be held Friday 2:00 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home Hartville with Pastor Dan Hanny officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Friday 1-2 PM.
