Duane I. Gilnett, age 85, of Canton, passed away on January 25, 2017. Born June 30, 1931 in Clearfield, Pa. He loved the Marines and enlisted on his 17th Birthday. He worked many years at First United Church of Christ and retired from Stark County Sewer Department.

Preceded in death by his parents and beloved niece, Tammy, and his loving wife, Myra Jo, December 11, 1987.

Survived by sons, Steven from Virginia, Doug from New Mexico and Eric of Canton. Daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Derrick Bailey of Uniontown, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He will be laid to rest beside his wife, Myra Jo, at Westlawn Cemetery in Canton.
