Duane Parker Domer, age 77, of Hartville went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday January 5, 2006. He was born on August 31, 1928 in Louisville to the late Earl J. and Hannah (Ruble) Domer and was a 1946 graduate of Hartville High School. Duane served in the Army for 16 months with the occupational troops in Japan. He was a Television Repair Man who never really retired and worked summers on the grounds at Congress Lake Country Club. A man who put family first, he was a best friend to his children and loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple and enjoyed gardening. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Norene (Cherry); daughter, Joanna Kerns of Alliance; sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and Lynn Domer of Missouri, Mitchell and Lisa Domer of Rittman, Todd and Karen Domer of Ravenna; brothers Richard (Lois Ann) Domer of New York and Gerald (Mickey) Domer of Hartville; grandchildren, Jocelyn (Lane) Yagley, Shawndra Rowe, Javan (Kari) Rowe, Cheyenne Kerns, Erin (Michael) Pfleegor, Damon Domer, Kalah Domer, Luke Domer, Todd Domer Jr., and Kaitlin Domer; and great-grandchildren, Dustin, Curtis, Cody, Tabitha, Isaiah, Eden and Parker. Funeral services are Monday 2:00 PM in the Canton Baptist Temple Chapel with Pastor Delaney Young officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services in the church Monday 1-2:00 PM. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery.
