Dru R. Rhodes, age 39, of Canton, died Sunday afternoon after injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Dru was born in Canton to Dr. Robert A. and Alice (Kiefer) Rhodes. A graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School and Walsh University, he was currently a full time Firefighter/Paramedic/Inspector/Investigator and part time Police Officer for the City of North Canton. He was a member of Canton Lodge #60 F& AM, AASR Valley of Canton and York Rite Bodies. Dru was Preceded in death by his father, Dr. Robert A. "Doc" Rhodes and a sister, Laura Pilcher. Survivors include his son, Hunter; mother, Alice A. Rhodes; brother, Theodore R. Rhodes; one niece and five nephews. A celebration of life service will be Friday 7:02 P.M. in the Chapel of North Canton where the Last Alarm and Masonic Services will be conducted. The family will receive friends from 3 to 6:45p.m. A private interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Dru R.
