Dr. Frederick K. Peters, DDS.

Frederick Karl Peters, age 90, of Louisville, Ohio, passed away on April 3, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was born on March 11, 1936 in Strasburg, Ohio to the late Foster and Irene Peters.

Fred grew up on his family farm in Strasburg where he learned the lessons of hard work and humility which defined his life. A graduate of Strasburg High School, he played in the band and earned varsity letters in multiple sports which reflected his endless energy and optimism. He went on to earn his undergraduate and dental degree from Western Reserve University, working nights at Severance Hall along the way so he could enjoy concerts by the Cleveland Orchestra.

For 48 years, Fred practiced dentistry in Louisville and Massillon, and he deeply loved his patients, his staff, and his community. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Fred quietly carried his sense of duty and service into every chapter of his life.

But it was his family which Fred valued most. He was an amazing father, grandpa, and husband - always showing up to cheer, to support, and to celebrate the people he loved. Family vacations to Hilton Head were among his greatest joys. He was an avid sports fan and season ticket holder for his beloved Buckeyes and Cleveland sports teams, and he brought that same enthusiasm to everything he did. Fred was also a loyal and cherished friend to all who knew him.

Fred is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Judith Peters; his loving children, Susan Lange (Bill), Steve Peters (Megan), Laurel Fenn (Dan), and Mike Peters (Emily); thirteen cherished grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank Brookdale Medina South and Hospice of the Western Reserve for their wonderful care of Fred.
