Dorothy Singer passed away on January 22, 2010 at Windsor Medical Center at age 87. She was born in Canton, Ohio on June 25, 1922 to Harry & Sarah (Goldstein) Applebaum. Dorothy was one of three children and attended Lehman High School. She met her husband Selig Singer of 67 years when he came to Canton from St. Paul, Minnesota in 1939. Selig and Dorothy belonged to Shaaray Torah Synagogue and Arrowhead Country Club for 42 years. They enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, going on cruises and spending the winter with their daughter in Tucson. Preceded in death by her husband and 2 brothers, Len and Sam Applebaum. Survived by 2 children Steven of Canton and Ellen (Michael) Sisterhen of Tucson and many cousins, nieces and nephews. A service will be held Wed. at 1:00 PM at Arnold Funeral Home with Cantor Bruce Braun officiating. Final resting place is Canton Hebrew Cemetery.
