Dorothy E. Yoder, age 92 of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord on July 4, 2018. She was born in Goshen, Indiana on May 6, 1926 to the late John and Barbara (Stutzman) Bender. Along with her husband, Alvin, they operated a religious bookstore and paint depot for over 20 years. They were founding members of Cornerstone Mennonite Church. She was devoted to neighborhood Bible studies, teaching and leading.

Preceded in death by her husband Alvin; 2 sons James and John; and sister Joanna Bender. She is survived by her children Lois and Paul Bontrager, Ruth and Larry Hills, Marcus Yoder, Julia and Eugene Reesor; 8 grandchildren Emily (Matthew) Manchester, Annie (Seth) Trance, Aaron (Kim) Hills, Angela (Brian) Tamargo, Matthew Yoder, Denise (Tony Janzen) Reesor, Justin (Rachel) Reesor and John (Emma) Reesor; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings Irene Diller, Wilbur (Mary Jane) Bender, Melva (John) Yoder, John (Liz) Bender, and Wilma Miller.

Calling hours are Saturday 3-6 PM at Cornerstone Mennonite Church. Burial will be Sunday 2:30 PM at Walnut Grove Cemetery and Memorial service to follow at 4 PM at Cornerstone Mennonite Church. Memorials may be made to Rosedale Mennonite Missions, 2120-E. 5th St., Columbus, OH 43219.
