Dorothy L. Wise, age, 92 of Canton, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021. She was born July 2, 1929 to the late Admiral Dewey and Iva Pearl (Hymes) Wagner and grew up in Shinnston, WV. Dorothy was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, where she taught Sunday School and Sunshine Nursery School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest R. Wise; daughter, Catherine; sons, Warren, Dewey, and Clyde; 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Dorothy is survived by daughters, Christine Wise, and Vivian (Steven) Campbell; brother, Earnest Gene (Shirley) Wagner; special grandchildren Chad and Charlotte; 13 grandchildren, many great and great great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Hennis Care Centre and Palliative Care of Dover for their care of Dorothy.

Funeral service will be 4:00 pm Saturday, July 17, 2021, in the Arnold & Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. NW with Rev. Dante Snyder officiating. Friends may call 2:00-4:00pm. The committal service will be 3:00pm Monday, July 19, 2021 in North Lawn Cemetery. Please sign the book.
