Dorothy May (Hartman) Wig, age 91, of North Canton, died January 28, 2012 after a nine month battle with cancer. Born in Marietta, she graduated from Ohio University and pursued a career in Medical Technology, retiring from Aultman Hospital after 19 years. Dorothy and Clifford traveled and traced their genealogy. In addition, Dorothy was active in Kappa Phi, Faith United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Emmanuel Emmaus, Faith Soup Kitchen, Ohio Genealogical Society and annually attended the Shaw Shakespeare Festival in Toronto. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Clifford, brother Herbert Hartman and sister Frances Robbins. Dorothy is survived by sons Christian (Leslie Heath) Wig and Thomas (Pamela) Wig, sisters; Hester Coward and Evelyn Spangler, sister-in-law; Irene Hartman and grandchildren Christopher and Jennifer Wig. A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012 in Faith United Methodist Church. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
