Dorothy Miller, age 70, of Hartville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday March 15, 2006 at Aultman Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 8, 1935 in Nowata, OK and at 6 months old moved to Hartville with her family. Dorothy was a member of Cornerstone Mennonite Church where she was very active in church life. She served as manager of the Hartville Thrift Shoppe for the last 3 years. Dorothy enjoyed family, traveling and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Jerry and Clara (Miller) Miller and step-mother, Clara (Kaufman) Miller; she is survived by her husband of 51 years, Calvin; children, Wendell and Carol Miller of Hartville, Wanda and Leonard Gerig of Albany, OR, Phyllis and Randy Nisly of Hartville, Lowell and Bonnie Miller of Sellersville, PA; Grandchildren, Andrea (Brent) Schrock, Greg Miller, Carl Gerig, Jessica Gerig, Maria (Spence) Smith, Caleb Gerig, Rachel (Mitch) Lam, Neil Nisly, Robin (Brendan) Sommers, Kaitlin Miller, Brian Miller; Great-grandchildren, Keegan Sommers, Addison Schrock, Kasey Lam; siblings, Maynard (Ruth) Miller, Irene Miller, Susie (Harold) Boyd all of Hartville, Marjorie (Wayne) Byler of Uniontown, Jerry Jr. (Sarah) Miller of North Canton, Paul (Kathleen) Miller of Akron, Pauline (Jim) Miller of Alberta, Canada, Miriam (Wayne) Miller of Durham, NC; brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the Cornerstone Mennonite Church and 1 hour prior to services Monday 1-2 PM. Funeral services will be Monday 2:00 PM in Cornerstone Mennonite Church with Pastor Stan Grizzle officiating. Final resting place is Walnut Grove Cemetery.
