Dorothy L. Gingerich, age 84, of Hartville, was received by the Lord on Wednesday March 9, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born in Greentown, Ohio on April 21, 1931 to the late Mose and Fannie (Wittmer) Kurtz. She was a member of Abundant Grace Ministries and served her Lord Jesus, family, church and community with great grace and a heart full of love.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 65 years Mose; 5 children Linda (Kyle) Conrad, Dale (Karen) Gingerich, Karen (Galen) Miller, Delbert (Deb) Gingerich, Don (Tami) Gingerich; 15 grandchildren Alysha (Duane) Thomas, Lydia (Justin) Gordon, Erin Conrad, Tiffany and Toby Gingerich, Josh (Laura), Chad (Courtney) and Cory (Christine) Miller, Philip (Shannon) and Brian (Heather) Gingerich, Amy (Kyle) McMullen and Jessi Gingerich, Tara (Thomas) Fett, Halle (Michael) Kurtz and Macie Gingerich; 15 great-grandchildren; 7 siblings Alvin Kurtz, Edna Slabaugh, Catherine Nisly, Mary Bontrager, Louise (Arthur) Wyse, Dan (Joann) Kurtz and Shirley (Martin) Troyer; sisters-in-law Verna Gingerich, Betty Troyer and Anna Sommers; and many nieces, nephews and special friends.

She was greeted in Heaven by several infant grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Calling hours are Sunday 3-7 PM at Maple Grove Mennonite Church and one hour prior to services Monday 10-11 AM. Funeral services are Monday 11 AM at Maple Grove Mennonite Church with Pastor Bill Mitchell officiating. Final resting place is Walnut Grove Cemetery.
