Dorothy M. Beachy, age 93, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord, on Monday August 21, 2023 (just 2 days before her 94th birthday) surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Canton, Ohio on August 23, 1929 to the late Jonathon and Fannie (Overholt) King. Her lifelong occupation was housekeeping. She loved serving her family and others, (especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren), enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, and had a gift of sending cards and letters of encouragement. She persevered through many adverse situations with her devoted faith in her Lord and was a member of the Hartville Conservative Mennonite Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Mahlon; 2 brothers Wilmer (Esther) King and Marvin King; brother-in-law Raymond Sommers.

She is survived by her daughters Glenda (Gerald) Miller of Middlebury, IN, Ruth (Chris) Wingard of Uniontown; 6 grandchildren Jason (Kaylene) Miller, Richele (Benjamin) Groeneweg, Landon (Sophie) Miller, Melissa (Anthony) Stoltzfus, Lynette (Jonas) King, Heidi Wingard; 10 great-grandchildren Annie, Jackson and Lincoln Miller, Silas, Ellery and Maeve Groeneweg, Natalie, Tyler, Archie and Grant King; sister Kathryn Sommers; sister-in-law Katie Miller; other relatives and friends.

Calling hours are Thursday 6-8 PM at Hartville Conservative Mennonite Church. Funeral services are Friday 10 AM at the church with Eugene Sommers and Jason Miller officiating. Final resting place is Walnut Grove Cemetery.
