Doris E. Ferguson, age 79, of North Canton died Sunday evening in her residence after a long illness. Born in Canton to the late Luther & Anna (Calahan) Byrd she was retired from the Timken Company. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husbands Robert Leasure and Kermit Ferguson, also by a sister: Barbara Jean Hoobler and a brother: Jack Donald Byrd. Survivors include two daughters: Karen (Charles) Austin of Greentown, Denise Leasure of Hartville. Son: Robert Leasure of Atwater, OH. Two Stepsons: James (Carol) Ferguson of Canton and Vince (Brenda) Ferguson of E. Canton. Adopted son: Buddy (Rhonda) Karcher of Canton. Six grandchildren: Donny, John, Dannielle, Jason, Terry & Brett . Six great grandchildren: Victoria, Lilly, Kayson, Isabella, Casper & Kennedy. Two sisters: Shirley (Larry) Brumbaugh and Gladys (Kenny) Heid, brother: Carl (Marlene) Byrd all of Canton. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. with Pastor Delaney Young officiating.
