Dora M. (Ramey) Gettles, age 80, peacefully passed away on January 16, 2016 surrounded by her daughters. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Ramey, mother, Catherine Ruple, loving husband, William A. Gettles and daughter, Marguerite Sherry Troy. Dora is survived by daughters, Pamela A. Escott and Amy L. (Rob) Ebey; grandchildren, Mike (Kelly) Escott, Jennifer (David) Wills, Tiffany Brewer, Kimberly Troy, Shelby (Andy Cazan) Ebey, William A. Ebey; great grandchildren, Alysissa, Krista, Wyatt, Isabella, Paege; and brother, Larry Ruple. "As always she did things her way-rest in peace Mom." Funeral service will be 12 noon, Tuesday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. NW with Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
