Donna Zelmer, age 91, passed away December 17th at Aultman Compassionate Care Center, after a brief battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years Robert Zelmer.  Born August 18, 1930 in Canton, Ohio to Howard Neel and Margaret Neel(Misch) she graduated valedictorian from Timken High School in 1948  and Mount Union University in 1952.  She had a fulfilling career as a teacher at Canton South and McKinley High Schools.  She has been a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for over 40 years and a member Canton College Club and PEO international

She is the mother of four children Mark, Laurie, Erich(Lisa) and Jeff(Brandon) and six grandchildren.  She is sister to Patricia Linz (Howard (deceased)) and Nancy Zelmer (Edward).

Calling Hours will be held Tuesday, December  21st from 4-7pm at the Arnold Spiker-Foster Funeral Home, 4817 Cleveland Avenue NW. (masks requested) Private Funeral Service conducted by Rev. Eli Klingensmith will be held Wednesday followed by internment at Forest Hill Cemetery.
