Donna J. Smith (Hobaugh), 85, of Canton passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on March 5, 2022. She was born in Passaic, New Jersey to Marvin and Jeanse Hobaugh on July 17, 1936. She spent most of her childhood in Canton South and graduated from Canton South High School in 1954. Donna was a successful businesswoman, owning and operating Reflections Artistic Salon for nearly 20 years. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Fred Smith (1998) and is survived by her beloved children, Michael Mossgrove, Daniel Mossgrove, Lori Spitale (Mike), 5 grandchildren, Andrew Mossgrove, Aaron Mossgrove (Julia), Kayla Mossgrove, Elisa Spitale, Natalie Spitale, her sister Judy Novak (Jack) of Georgetown Texas, her stepchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Donna enjoyed bowling and golfing with her friends. She even boasted a Hole in 1 at Shady Hollow Country Club in 1995. She enjoyed traveling especially to Florida and The Bahamas with her family and friends. Donna also loved to garden, visit wineries and spent many happy days on the lake with her family. She lived her life to the fullest through simple pleasures. We are grateful to Kayla Mossgrove for her steadfast and loving care. Funeral service will be 12noon Thursday, March 10, 2022, in the Arnold Funeral Home 1517 Market Ave. N. with Rev. Rod Geiger officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
