Donna Mae George (West), went to be with the Lord on August 25, 2017, in Okemos, Michigan, at the age of 91. She had resided in Grand Ledge, Michigan since 2013.

Donna was the loving mother of Catherine (David) Simmons and Gregory George; the dear grandmother of Valerie (PJ) Mulford, Bethany (Craig) Skinner, Ryan George, Adam (Laura) George, and Lauren George; the cherished great-grandmother of AJ, Aviana, and Kalea Skinner, Ryan George, Aaron and Charlize George, Taryn Hatzopoulos, and Laelle Mulford. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Evelyn West; brothers, Thomas and Robert West and beloved husband, Gabriel George.

Donna was born on August 17, 1926, in Canton, Ohio. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1944 and while working as a dental assistant met Gabriel and they were married in 1947. Always creative and artistic, Donna created many beautiful works of art, enjoyed teaching ceramic and china painting, was an art and decorator consultant for the Harrison Paint Company, and was a real estate agent for Gabe George Realty. Always involved in her church and community, she was active in Talent Care and sang in the choir at Little Flower Church in North Canton. A skilled euchre player, Donna enjoyed card clubs and continued playing at her retirement community in Michigan where she made many new friends. Donna always lit up the room with her keen wit, wisdom, and wonderful sense of humor. She was dearly loved by those whose lives she touched and although she will be missed, fond and loving memories fill the hearts of family and friends.
