Donna Werren Boettner, age 80, of Birmingham, AL died Friday, April 5, 2013. She was born May 17, 1932 in Canton, graduated from Lehman High School in 1950 and graduated from St. Lukes Nursing School in Cleveland in 1953. A loving wife and mother, she enjoyed reading, playing Bridge, cooking, and singing in church choirs. She was a retired Registered Nurse and active member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. Donna was a former resident of Lexington, KY, where she was a long-time member of Trinity Hill Methodist Church. Preceded in death by husband of 51 years, Robert Boettner; and parents, John Werren and Bernice Daberko Werren. Survived by three sons, John ( Kim) of Birmingham, David (Judy) of Vermillion, OH, and Steven ( Julie) of Sacramento, CA; nine grandchildren, Jessica ( Ben Dunn), Robert, Wesley, Caitlin ( Josh Jones), Meredith ( Chris Piovarchy), Jacob, Janet Elizabeth "Lizzy," Melissa, and Eric; three great-grandsons, Henry Christopher, Colin Matthew, and Joseph Simeon; brother, John R. (Joan) Werren ; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation: Monday, April 8, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. funeral service at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Birmingham.
