Donald Louis Wolfe, aged 83, of North Canton, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013. He is now with his Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ. Don was born on July 15, 1929, in East Liverpool, Ohio to the late Walter W. and Esther M. Wolfe and graduated from East Liverpool High School. He married his high school sweetheart Elaine Wolfe on August 26, 1950. They both graduated from Mount Union College where he was a starting football player for the Purple Raiders. Don and his family moved overseas in 1961 where he managed Goodyear's rubber plantations in Indonesia and their production facilities in the UK and Malaysia. He returned to the United States in the late '70's where he was responsible for overseeing various Goodyear facilities across the country before retiring after a 42 year career in 1994. Don was a member of The John Knox Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his children Mark (Patricia) Wolfe of Virginia, Craig Wolfe of Cuyahoga Falls, Fran (James) Flud of California, and Brad Wolfe of Canton; grandchildren Lindsey, Brian and Bethany Wolfe. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Elaine Wolfe. Calling hours are Friday March 1 from 4-7 PM at Arnold Funeral Home, 1517 Market Ave. N, Canton, and an hour prior to services Saturday (10-11:00 AM) at John Knox Presbyterian Church, 5155 Eastlake St. NW, N Canton, OH 44720. Funeral services begin at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Tom Houston officiating. Final resting place is North Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to John Knox Presbyterian Church.
