Donald Charles Spring, succumbed September 3, 2007 at 2:00 A.M. in his residence. Born September 15, 1920 to the late Robert L. and Vera (Fasnacht) Spring, he served in the Pacific in WW II as a Seabe Electricians Mate Second Class. He retired from Spring Electric Company in 1980. A 32 degree member of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio, he remained active until recent years. He was an avid golfer for many years, was a life and current member of Trinity United Church of Christ. Survivors include Betty his wife of 57 years, and two daughters, Patti (Neil) Slabaugh of Massillon and Susan Spring of Port St. Lucie, FL. He is also survived by a brother: Merle and sister Marjorie Bauer, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an only son, Thomas. A graveside service will be Thursday 10:00 A.M. in North Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Stephen Gifford officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Capital Projects Fund c/o Trinity United Church of Christ 3909 Blackburn Rd. N.W. Canton, OH 44718 or to Mercy Medical Center Hospice 7568 Whipple Ave N.W. Canton, OH 44720.
