Donald F. Miller, age 100, of Canton, died Saturday morning after a brief illness. Born in Lakewood, OH to the late Frank H. and Edna (Woodall) Miller, Don was retired from the T. K. Harris Real Estate Company. A Navy Veteran of WW II, he participated in the invasion of Africa, New Guinea and Okinawa. Don was an active member of Trinity United Church of Christ where he served as Treasurer during the 1961 ground breaking; he also served as an Elder and a Deacon. Don was also a member of the Hall of Fame Luncheon Club, North Canton Elk's, AARP and United Commercial Travelers. He also enjoyed golf, tennis and bowled for over 70 years. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary, in 2001, he is survived by sons, Frederic (Deborah) Miller of Eugene, OR and Paul (Vivian) Miller of Canton; grandchildren, Amy, Catherine, Brent and Bethany; great grandchildren, Roslyn, Alexander and Frederic; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a special friend, Marge Garaux. A memorial service will be 12 noon Thursday in Trinity United Church of Christ with Rev. Andrew Taylor-Peck officiating. A North Canton Elk's service will be at 9:45 a.m. Friends may call 10-12 noon in the church parlor. Private interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery.
