Obituary
Donald L. (Don) Jackson, age 72, of Jackson Township, passed away peacefully with his wife and daughter by his side, Wednesday, March 28th, 2018.
Don was born in Butler, PA on August 23, 1945 to the late Clarence and Honor (Berlin) Jackson. Raised in Foxburg, PA, he graduated from Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School in 1963. Don served in the United States Army with the Security Agency Group and is a Vietnam War veteran. After his service In the Army, Don moved to Canton, OH where he worked for the Hoover Company and retired after 36 years of service. He was a proud member of the NRA, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, North Canton, OH, the Sheffield, PA Rod and Gun Club, and the Buckeye State Sheriffs Association.
In his spare time he loved hunting, fishing, boating and spending time at his cabin in Sheffield, PA. He also loved doing woodworking in his shop.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Brenda (Tolley); daughter, Kerry (Michael) Frost of McKinney, TX; grand twins, Morgan and Ty; Brother, Carl (Audrey) Jackson of Chicora, PA; sister-in-laws, Lois Tolley of North Canton, OH and Carol Kangas of Venice, FL and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his sister, Ida (Jackson) Buzza.
The family would like to thank Dr. Marsh, the nurses and staff at the Aultman Compassionate Care unit for the exceptional care given to Don while he was in their care.
As per Don's request there will be no memorial service however, following cremation family and friends may call on Wednesday from 6:00pm -8:00 pm in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. Military Honors will take place at 7:00pm.
