Donald E. Beggs, age 83, of Plain Township died Thursday at his residence after a sudden illness. Born in Canton to the late Raymond & Ora (Schaeffer) Beggs he was a life resident. Mr. Beggs was a graduate of Middlebranch High School and served in the Navy following WW II. He was the retired owner of Don Beggs Trucking and Beggs Motor Homes. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Dale Beggs. Don was an industrious man and an avid outdoors man. At a young age he lived on a farm, he loved to garden and was liked by all who meant him. Survivors include his wife Mildred to whom he would have been married 64 years on December 21st. Daughter: Mrs. Daniel (Sherry) Leach of Denver, CO, two sons: Denny Beggs of Greensboro, NC and David (Chris) Beggs of Canal Fulton. Five grandchildren: Sarah, Caitlin, Kelly, Evan and Lisa. A sister: Marilyn Mathie and a brother Robert Beggs also survive. Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Williams officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W.
