Donald D. Achauer, age 77, of North Canton died Monday evening in Manor Care Health Services after a brief illness. Born in Canton to the late Walter J. & Daisy M. (Dial) Achauer, he was a 1950 graduate of Lehman High School. A Navy Veteran of the Korean War, Don was retired from Rockwell International from sales of Industrial Power Tools, and was the former owner of Canton Music Shop. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of North Canton and the North Canton Eagles. Don is survived by his wife of 54 years: Barbara (Schoman) Achauer of the residence. Two sons: Jeffrey (Barbara) Achauer of Dublin, OH and David (Kathleen) Achauer of Kirtland, OH. Three grandchildren: Ashley, Jason, and Samantha Achauer. Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. with Pastor Mark Sherwindt officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
