Dolores Mae Dawson, age 87, of Canton passed away Friday morning February 26, 2021. She was a life resident of Canton, 1952 graduate of Timken High School and worked in Dietary at Plain Local Schools, Canton Christian Home and Altercare of Canton. She was a member of the Church of the Covenant. Dolores volunteered at Aultman Hospital for many years.

Preceded in death by her husband Jack L. Dawson in 2016 and they were married for 63 years; and her parents Jack H. and Ethel Mae (Derrick) Everett. Survived by children Greg (Jeanie) Dawson, Melanie (Melvin) Oliver, Lori (Michael LaBelle) Dawson, Brian (Terry) Dawson; grandchildren Shawn Dawson, Michael (Sarah) Dawson, Drew Dawson; 4 great-grandchildren; and companion and kittie friend, Max.

The family thanks the staff at the Canton Christian Home for all the years of peace Dolores had and also thanks to the care from Community Hospice. Following cremation, private graveside services for the family will take place at Sunset Hills Burial Park. In memory of De, donations may be made to Canton Christian Home or Community Hospice.
