IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dianne Marie
Carnahan
May 5, 1943 – September 13, 2022
Dianne Marie Carnahan, age 79, of Hartville, passed away on September 13, 2022. She was born May 5, 1943, in Canton to Willard and Grace (Myers) Evans and graduated from Waterloo High School. Dianne was a past member of the Hartville Church of the Brethren and spent 30 years as a local school bus driver, 10 with Waterloo Schools and 20 with Field Schools.
Happy for Dianne was horses and hayfields and sunrises on the lake outside her home. Raised on a farm, she was open to guests of any kind, always having a meal ready for new or old friends. She believed in the value of a homecooked meal and was an avid cook and gardener of vegetables of all kinds. Dianne was stubborn and loving—a trait she passed along to her children. As a grandmother, she was a faithful and fun caretaker who never passed up an opportunity for ice cream for breakfast. But most of all, she was a lover of life who enjoyed nothing more than a full house and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William in 1990 and brother Leslie Evans in 2021. She is survived by her Aunt Florence Norton her daughters Christina Marie Carnahan and Sandra Lynn (Scott) McLeod; sons Michael Logan (Angela) Carnahan and Todd Eric (Angel) Carnahan; grandchildren Grant and Kayla McLeod, and Sophia (Samuel) Baum and Nicolas Carnahan.
Following cremation, a private family committal will take place at a later date at Mt. Peace Cemetery in Hartville. Memorial donations may be made to the Portage County Humane Society.
