Deborah Floyd, age 51 of Canton went home to be with the Lord on Saturday December 22, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in Temple, GA on August 12, 1956 and attended McKinley High School. Debbie worked for the Hoover Company and was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by her father Oliver Lee Brantley in 1988; and survived by husband of 15 years Benjamin; mother Nesola Brantley of Canton; daughter Tyra Brantley of Canton; grandchildren Terence, Joshua and La Tiria Brantley and Myran Robertson all of Canton; sisters Shirley (Chester) Justice, Martha Walls all of Canton; brothers Oliver L. Brantley Jr., Palmon L. Brantley, Willie L. Brantley, Bruce (Rosie) Brantley all of Canton; father-in-law and mother-in-law Bennie and Eula Floyd of Canton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. Friends may call one hour prior to services Friday 11 a.m. to noon at St. Johns. Funeral services are Friday 12 noon at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 2645 Lincoln Street East, with Pastor Jesse Hudson Jr. officiating. Final resting place is Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
