Deborah A. "Debbie" Stowers, age 62, of Hartville went home to be with the Lord on Thursday night December 20, 2012. She was born in Huntington, Indiana on May 18, 1950 to the late Virgil E. and Esther (Tyner) Kline and graduated from Huntington North High School. She got her Bachelor's in Home Economics from Purdue University in 1972. In college she met Ross "Jay" Stowers and they married in June 1973. They moved to Ohio in 1975 and Debbie taught at Maplewood Joint Vocational School. In 1981 she obtained her Master's in Nutrition from Kent State University. After raising her children she taught in Canton City Schools. She was a member of the Hartville Church of the Brethren where she taught Sunday School and helped with Vacation Bible School. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening, and art. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Ross "Jay"; son and daughter-in-law Aaron and Christina of Washington, DC; daughter and son-in-law Beth and Chris Plotts of Ann Arbor, Michigan; sister and brother-in-law Vickie and Ron Craker of Granger, Indiana; and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by a brother Monte Joe Kline. Friends may call Wednesday 3-5 PM at Hartville Church of the Brethren. Funeral services begin Wednesday at 5 PM in the church with Pastor Anthony DiMarco officiating. In Indiana, Friends may call Friday 11 AM to 12 noon at Salamonie Church of the Brethren, 2662 W 600 S, Warren, IN. Funeral services begin Friday 12 noon in the church.
