David Worshil, age 89, of Canton, Ohio, passed away on October 18, 2024. He was born in Canton on July 15, 1935, to Nathan and Esenta (Kail) Worshil and graduated from McKinley High School and Ohio State University. While in school, he was editor of the McKinley Senior Annual, and he received a letter on the swimming team. In college, David was president of the Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity and after graduation owned and operated Worshil Auto Parts for over 50 years. He was a member of Shaaray Torah Synagogue, Temple Israel, and Agudas Achim, the Canton Jewish Community Center and Arrowhead Country Club.

David is preceded in death by his sister Lori Libster.

He is survived by his children Beth (Kenny) Zansberg, Jodi Worshil (Kirk Arnold), Pete (Laura) McLaughlin, and Jennifer (Greg) Braun; grandchildren Taylor, Ali, Goldie, Nita, Courtney (fiancée Shawn), Morgan (Alex), Rylie and Michelle; sister JoAnn (Dr. Tom) Hornsten.

"It is unusual to thank you after I am gone but I would like to say thanks to all my friends and customers here in Stark County for many years of togetherness. You have helped to make my life a useful one. There were very few places that I went to in my later years that I would not be recognized or received with a warm greeting. I truly appreciated that! I am forever grateful!

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 1:30 PM at Shaaray Torah Synagogue with Cantor Bruce Braun officiating. Final resting place is Canton Hebrew Cemetery.
