David Maurice Sadowsky David Maurice Sadowsky, age 88, of Charlotte, North Carolina, and formerly of Canton, Ohio and New York City, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, March 10th. David was born on December 31, 1923 in New York City. After graduating from high school, David served in the U.S. Army and achieved the rank of staff sergeant in telegraph communications and served in World War II in Okinowa. Preceding him in death was his loving wife of 54 years, Betty Sadowsky. David had a varied work background in the automotive, bar, coal, wood products, and retail industries, having worked at businesses including Stone's Grill, Miller Sales, Best Products, and Canton Wood Products. David was a devoted family man who enjoyed being with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Dave enjoyed playing poker and gin rummy, golfing, and boating at Turkeyfoot Lake with family and friends . He enjoyed his pet dog Penny who was always by his side. Dave also enjoyed his cars, and was quite the repairman and handyman with his car and around the house. David was a member of Shaaray Torah Synagogue. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-laws, Marv and Lynn of Yardley, Pennsylvania, and Alan and Ann of Charlotte, North Carolina, grandchildren Ryan, Jodi, Andrew, and Anna, a great grandson Nathan, sister Rosalyn Miller of Howard Beach, NY, and brother-in-law Reuben Klamer of LaJolla, California, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 14 at 11 am sharp at Arnold Funeral Home with Cantor Bruce Braun officiating. Final Resting Place is Canton Hebrew Cemetery.
