David L. Paulus, age 89, of North Canton, died Tuesday evening in Aultman Hospital after complications from pneumonia. Born in Kent, OH to the late Frank A. & Emma (Rhodes) Paulus he had resided here since 1985. A Navy Veteran of WW II, Mr. Paulus received a Master's Degree in Education from Kent State University and was retired from Cleveland Heights Public School System where he was a Teacher and Coach. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church of North Canton. Survivors include his wife of 65 years; Charlotte (Lose) Paulus of the residence. Three sons: Dr. William (Sue) Paulus of N, Canton, James (Holly) Paulus of Burns, TN, and John (Wendy) Paulus of Silverthorne, CO. Daughter: Mrs. Tom (Janet) Welding of Stow, OH. Eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Brother: Raymond Paulus of AZ. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, February 1, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Paul's Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. James A. Clarke as officiant. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service in church on Monday.
