David H. Pahl David Herbert Pahl, 77, of Gulfport, FL died of cancer January 22, 2014 in Ohio where he had moved to be with his son. Born January 28, 1936 in Racine, WI, he was the only child of the late Herbert W. and Winifred R. (Butler) Pahl. Dave served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and attained the rank of Technical Sergeant. After leaving the Air Force, he earned an Associates degree in accounting and worked in various retail and managerial positions. Prior to retiring, he worked as an aircraft mechanic for Northrup until the closing of Pease Air Force Base in Portsmouth, NH. He was active in veteran's affairs and was a member of The Retired Enlisted Association (TREA), having held several offices including National President. He was an elder at Gulfport Presbyterian Church in Florida. Prior to relocating to Florida in 1999, Dave lived for many years in York Beach, ME and Stratham, NH. He is survived by his sons: William Pahl of Uniontown, OH, and Bruce Pahl of Newark, DE; and four granddaughters, Kristina Moncrief, Abigail Pahl, Danielle Pahl and Grace Pahl. There will be no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held later in the year at the time of interment
