David Logan Mizner, age 73, of Marlboro passed away on Thursday night May 22, 2014 in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Oak Harbor, Ohio on March 20, 1941 to late Harry Albright and Evelyn Laverne (Kelso) Mizner and graduated from Brewster High School in 1959. He played football for the semi pro Canton Bulldogs. Then, he was drafted and served in the Army from 1964 - 1966. He met his wife, Jean Batershell while working at Hoover Company. They married October 4, 1969. David retired from Hoover Company in 2001 after 38 years of service. He was an 18 year volunteer of the Marlboro Fire Department and a member of the Coventry Lodge No. 665, F. & A.M. More importantly, he loved his family and had been a coach for his children's softball and baseball teams. Recently, he really enjoyed the grand kids games. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jean; children James (Roxanne) Mizner of Beach City, Amy (Phil) Keren of Mogadore, Tricia Hoover of Marlboro, Kyle Mizner of Marlboro; grandchildren Nathan, Paul and Ryan Keren, Drew, Zachary and Jeanna Hoover; siblings Marilyn-Jo (Bill) Sommer, Rick Mizner; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Tuesday from 5-9 PM at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Also on Tuesday the Masons will have services 7:00 PM and the Fireman will have services at 7:30 PM. On Wednesday funeral services will be 1:00 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Corbett officiating. Also, Wednesday calling hours are 12 noon to 1 PM. Final resting place is Marlboro Cemetery.
