David A. Krichbaum, age 76, of Marlboro Township, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2013. He was born in Marlboro Township, Ohio on January 4, 1937, to the late Norman and Evelyn (Eshelman) Krichbaum. He graduated from Marlboro High School and then earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physics and mathematics at Mount Union College. While pursuing a master's degree at Ohio University, Dave enlisted in the U. S. Air Force where he served his country for 20 years. During that time, he met and married Sue Seaman while stationed at Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, Colorado. His later military assignments included Alaska, Texas, Vietnam, Florida, and Okinawa, Japan. Dave retired to the family farm with his wife and four children and spent the rest of his life doing what he really loved. He will be fondly remembered for his dry sense of humor, birdwatching, rainbow suspenders, political discussions, athletic achievements and love of Australian shepherds. Dave is survived by his wife of 51 years Sue; and four children Shawn (Brad) Bixler of Marlboro Township, Dee (Mike) Grimm of Atwater, Steven Krichbaum of Canal Winchester, OH, and Deborah (Alan) Fox of Marlboro Township; six grandchildren Bryan Bixler, Michael and Madelyn Grimm, Rachel, Mary and Naomi Fox; and sister Alice Fitzpatrick of Marlboro Township. He was preceded in death by sister Ruth Slicker. Calling hours are Friday at 4-8 PM at Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville and one hour prior to services on Saturday (9:30-10:30 AM). Funeral services are Saturday at 10:30 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Ken Baker officiating. Final resting place is Marlboro Cemetery.
