David R. Hague, age 59, of Canton, a man of great dignity, determination and courage died February 23, 2007 in Aultman Hospital following complications from surgery. David was a colon cancer survivor for four years and demonstrated on a daily basis that people can live well with cancer. His strength and resilience will live on with his wife of 22 years, Kimberly to whom he was a loving husband and sons, Cole and Maxwell to whom he was a loving and caring father. Other survivors include sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara Miller of Coatsville, PA., Anne and Frank Englund of Downington, PA., mother-in-law Ann Cowie of North Canton; nieces, nephews, other family members, life long friends, David Draper, the Kieslings, Johnsons and his wonderful co-workers from Child and Adolescent Service Center and dear friends at Canton Montessori School, and his beloved pets. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Elaine (Ostergard) Hague and father-in-law Robert N. Cowie. David graduated from Lehman High School in 1965, Kent State University and received his masters in counseling from Walsh College. He was a licensed clinical counselor at Child and Adolescent Service Center and served on the board of trustees at Canton Montessori School. Following cremation a private memorial service will be held in St. Mark's Episcopal Church with Rev. Dr. Carey E. Sloan III officiating.
