David E. Gourley, age 74, of Canton, passed away in his home on April 3, 2025. He was born in Canton on March 20, 1951, to the late Elmer and Virginia (Braun) Gourley and graduated from Lehman High School. Following high school, David attended and graduated from Ohio University, he then began a 30-year career in the retail field working at Miller Sales and lastly as a district manager at Big Lots. David had a passion for music, being in nature, and fishing. He was proud of his family and enjoyed his role as grandfather.

David is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Mary Gourley; sons James (Heather), Richard (Jessica), William, and Michael; grandkids Jack, James, Eliza, Rachel, Miles, Martin, Alaska, and Marley.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 8, 2025, from 10-11 AM at the Arnold and Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 11:15 AM in the funeral home with Celebrant Kevin O'Brien officiating. Final resting place is North Lawn Cemetery.
