David R. Edwards, age 74, of Louisville passed away at Aultman Hospital on August 22, 2024. He was born in Canton on October 4, 1949, to David J. and Jean (Klingaman) Edwards and graduated from Timken Vocational High School. Following high school, David was drafted into the Army however he chose to enlist in the Navy and served during the Vietnam War. David spent over 20 years working at Hercules Engine as a Tool Cutter and Grinder. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, especially riding his Honda Shadow on local trips. One of his greatest joys was being a grandpa or papaw to his grandkids. David was fortunate to have grown up camping at Atwood Lake with his many cousins. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and bowling.

David is survived by his wife Debbie of 42 years, children Jason (Jodi) Edwards, Heather (Andie) Edwards, and Sarah Edwards; grandchildren Bodee Edwards, Jayden (Jasmine) Edwards, and Anakah Edwards (Logan Wacker), Mikayla Schneider, Michael Emerick Jr., Owen Emerick, and Cameron Emerick; great grandchildren Lennon Edwards, Stevie Edwards, and Miles Wacker.

Calling hours will be Monday, August 26, 2024, from 11-1 PM at the Arnold & Spiker Foster Shriver Funeral Home. Services will begin at 1 PM with Celebrant Kevin O'Brien officiating.
