Daniel L. "Danny" Pugh, 72, of Canton, passed away at Aultman Hospital on January 4, 2025. He was born in Canton on September 5, 1952 to the late Donald and Wilma (Hendres) Pugh.

He began his career as a diesel mechanic during his time in the service where he proudly served in not only the United States Navy, but also the National Guard and the Army Reserves. He continued this career until his retirement after 30+ years.

Danny had many positive traits that his family will remember fondly. He was an exceptional, kind man, a devoted husband of 28 years, a loving and supportive father to his children, and was always respectful to anyone and everyone he met.

He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Jean (Fortney) Pugh; mother-in-law, Johanna Fortney; children Evett Pugh, Michael Blythe, Kyle (Melissa) Ferguson and Olivia (Ian) Fortney; siblings Diane (Gary) Shupe and Dwain (Carol) Sullivan; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter who all were the light of his life; and last but not least, his two furry companions Max and Charlie who were always faithfully by his side.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 10th from 3-4 p.m. at the Arnold Spiker Foster Funeral Home, 4817 Cleveland Ave. NW, Canton, Ohio, 44709.

A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
