Daniel Paul McGuire, age 67, of Newcomerstown and formerly of Canton, passed away in his residence surrounded by his family on Tuesday, April 29, 2008. Born November 17, 1940 in Wooster, OH to the late John and Becky (Brown) McGuire. Daniel was a sign painter and illustrator for Republic Steel and later LTV Steel and also enjoyed civil war reenactments with the Grand Army of the Republic. Preceded in death by his wife Judith (Stroup) McGuire in 1980. He is survived by his daughter Mary McGuire of Newcomerstown; son Chris Smith of Wooster; step-father John Oats; son-in-law Kenneth John Baugh; grandchildren Megan McGuire, Max McGuire and Jack Baugh; great-grandchildren Katy McGuire, Chloe Brendly and soon to be born Daniel McGuire. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 5, 2008 at 11:30 am in the Arnold Funeral Home in Canton with Fr. Ronald Klingler officiating.
