Dan E. Beachy, age 96, of Hartville went home to be with the Lord on Thursday February 16, 2012 peacefully in the comfort of his home with family by his side. He was born in Baym Minette, Alabama on September 1, 1915 to the late Eli and Katie (Miller) Beachy. Dan had been a self-employed landscape contractor and a very active member of the Hartville Conservative Mennonite Church. He is survived by his wife of 72 years Ella (Slabaugh); 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Owen and Hannah of Hartville, Joni and Mary Ellen of Indiana, Lloyd of North Canton; grandchildren Theresa (Bob) Miller, Kevin (Dena), Matthew (Carol), Aaron (Krista), Rhonda (Roland) Schrock, Shawn (Lisa), Todd, Ryan (Eunice), Tina (Richard) Denlinger, Karen (David) Miller; 39 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a son Paul; daughter-in-law Miriam; 3 brothers Noah, Levi and Joni and 4 sisters Amanda Troyer, Anna Helmuth, Lovina Stutzman and Mary Beachy. Calling hours are (Today) Saturday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Hartville Conservative Mennonite Church. Funeral services are Sunday 2:00 PM in the church with Eugene Sommers officiating.
