Dallas D. May Sr, age 77 of Hartville, passed away Tuesday morning November 6, 2007. He was born in Clarksburg, WVa on May 28, 1930 to the late Audie W. and Sadie Belle (Hess) May. He enlisted in the Navy in 1948 and while in the service met and married Alice May (Smith) March 16, 1957. He retired after 22 years of service in the Navy in August 1969 then made a home in Hartville. He gained employment from B.F.Goodrich of Akron and then from IGA of Hartville. He attended The Chapel in Marlboro. Dallas was a man who put family first and enjoyed all his family gatherings. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Alice; son and daughter-in-law, Dallas Jr. and Karen May of Alliance; daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Earl Tolley of Alliance; grandchildren, Anna May and Dallas May III both of Louisville, Racheal May of Alliance, Joey Tolley of Sebring, Sandra Tolley and Timothy Tolley both of Alliance; great-grandchildren, Dennis, Vanessa, Jasmyne and Olivia May; and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters, Bud May, Lucille Matthews, Rose Lockawitz, Jane Corathers, Mildred Keyser, Pete May, Darryl May and Regina Corathers. Friends may call Friday 6-8 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home, Hartville. Funeral Services are Saturday 11 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Joel Cochran officiating.
