Dale E. Schneider, DVM age 87 of Canton died Monday afternoon in the Canton Christian Home after a brief illness. A life resident of Canton Dr. Schneider was a retired Veterinarian. A 1950 graduate of The Ohio State University, he was an Army Air Corp Veteran and served 30 missions over Germany during WWII. He was also a member of the Air Force Assoc., Stark County Academy of Veterinary Medicine, Ohio Veterinary Medical Assoc., Canton Kiwanis Club of which he served a President in 1979 during which time he organized the first McKinley High School Key Club, he had also volunteered 1500 hours at Mercy Medical Center. He was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon and Elder. Survivors include two sons: Dr. Tod E. Schneider and his wife Cynthia of Canton. David G. Schneider of Columbus; three grandchildren Tod (Karen) Schneider, Jr., Jessica (Tom) Brockman and Brian Schneider. Funeral service will be Thursday 11:00 A.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. with Rev. Wendy L. Bausman officiating. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Dale was an avid supporter of The Ohio State University and to that end his wishes were to have memorials in lieu of flowers made to the O.S.U College of Veterinary Medicine 1480 W.
