Dale F. Potts, age 92, of Canton, passed away Saturday morning in his home after an extended illness. Born in Duffy, OH to the late Vernon and Elizabeth (Harter) Potts, he was an Army Veteran of WW II, having served in the tank destroyers unit # 656. Dale retired from the Timken Company and was the Owner of North Canton Drain and Sewer Cleaning. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons: Randy and Marty Potts. A member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, and William McKinley Lodge # 431 F&AM, he is survived by his wife of 72 years: Mary Jane (Speck) Potts of the residence. Three daughters: Beverly Trizzino and Cindy (Gene) Reeder both of Canton, Lisa Fitch of Columbus. Son: Dale Scott Potts (Melany) of Louisville. Daughter-in-law: Marlette Potts of Canton. 10 Grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren also survive. Funeral service will be 12 Noon Thursday in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Williams officiating. Interment with military honors will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday in the church.
