We celebrate the life and legacy of Dale G. Lepley, born July 17, 1941, who passed away on February 5, 2026, due to heart complications. He lived 84 years rooted in dedication to his family, his faith, and his community. Dale spent his life building, serving, and giving back in quiet and meaningful ways.
Dale shared a long and loving life with his wife, Miriam Lepley. Married for 64 years, they built their home and raised their family in Marlboro, Ohio. Both Dale and Miriam graduated from Marlington High School in 1959, and community remained the heart of their life and work.
Over the course of his long career as a carpenter, Dale helped build countless homes and community structures, leaving a physical legacy that will stand for generations, not only in his local community but also as far as Africa and New Orleans. His craftsmanship was matched only by his willingness to serve. He dedicated many years as a board member of the Marlboro Cemetery, volunteered faithfully with Habitat for Humanity, and supported numerous other community organizations whenever help was needed.
Dale was also a devoted member and trustee of the Aldersgate Family Methodist Church, where his faith guided his life of service and generosity.
He is survived by his wife, Miriam Lepley; his children, Evonne Fox and her spouse, Kenneth Fox, Keith Lepley and his spouse, Tammy Lepley; six grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lorraine Lepley-Harte. Dale leaves behind a grateful family and a community deeply shaped by his care, commitment, and steady presence.
The family appreciates the many kind thoughts, prayers, and messages of support during this time.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 10th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home, 504 W. Maple, St., Hartville. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 11394 Edison St., N.E., Alliance, Ohio 44601 with a viewing beginning at 10:30 at the church.
