September 6, 1928 – July 18, 2008
Dale L. Flounders, age 79, of Canton died Friday morning after an extended illness. Born in Massillon he was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and worked as a service manager for various auto dealerships in the area. An Army Veteran, having served in Korea, Dale was a graduate of Massillon High School in 1946, where he was drummer in the Tiger Swing Band. Dale was an avid NASCAR fan, and was very proud of his grandsons show truck. He was a wonderful husband, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Preceded in death by his son: Gregg Flounders in 1993, he is survived by his wife Olivia of the residence. Two grandchildren: Mrs. Keith (Heather) Wilson of Georgia and Joseph Flounders (Audra) of Canton. Four great grandchildren. Two sisters: Edith Milnes of Canton and Mrs. John (Delores) Brenner of Massillon, Very special friends: Karen and Nick Stock and their children Kaitlin and Justin. Dales wishes were to be cremated, their will be no services or calling hours.
