Clifford "Scott" Smith, age 52, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 25, 2025 as the result of a motorcycle accident. A devoted father, former police officer, and respected Transportation Supervisor for North Canton City Schools, Scott's passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Scott was born on October 15, 1972 to Tom and Cindy (Coss) Smith and is a graduate of North Canton Hoover High School of 1991 and Kent State University of 1996. Scott dedicated many years to law enforcement, serving his community with integrity, courage, and compassion. After retiring from the police force, he brought his strong leadership and care for others to North Canton City Schools, where he served as Transportation Supervisor for the past two years. His steady presence and commitment helped ensure the safety and well-being of hundreds of students each day.

Scott enjoyed woodworking and utilizing his skills in home improvement projects. He enjoyed his time in Hocking Hills area, hiking and spending time outdoors. Scott had a unique sense of humor, enjoyed cracking jokes and having the most fun with life that he could, especially with his daughters! Scott was a proud and loving father to his two teenage daughters, who were the greatest joy in his life. He was a constant source of support, guidance, and unconditional love, and his legacy will live on through them.

Scott is survived by his daughters, Addison and Miah; his step-son, Nick Nader; granddaughter Amelia; his parents Tom and Cindy; siblings Aaron (Carolina) Smith; niece Amada and Erica (Seth) Thompson; nephew Isaac and niece Julia. Also many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends.

Scott will be remembered for his unique sense of humor and his devotion to family and friends. His dedication to service, his love for his family, and the countless lives he touched stand as a testament to the man he was.

Calling hours will be Friday, June 6 from 4-6 PM at the Arnold Funeral Home at 1517 Market Ave N and from 10-11 AM Saturday, June 7 at the Church of the Lakes. Memorial services will begin at 11 AM in the church. Following the service, everyone is welcome to gather in the church activity center for sharing of memories and celebration of Scott's life.

He will be forever missed and always remembered.
