Clifford Shepherd Clifford Shepherd, age 89, of Canton died Tuesday morning in Altercare of Nobles Pond after an extended illness. Born in Sullivan, IN he had resided here since 1937. An Army Veteran of WW II Clifford retired in 1980 from Republic Steel as General Foreman after 43 years of service. He was a member of First Evangelical Congregation Church and the DAV. In addition to his parents, Jesse and Lucy Shepherd he was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel, sister, Ruby Krahulic and two brothers, Jesse Lee and Edgar Shepherd. Survivors include his son, Thomas Dean (Sonja) Shepherd of Canton; sister-in-law; Helen Kerr of the residence and a sister, Dorothy Poff of Goshen, IN. Funeral service will be Friday 2:00 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. with Pastor Glenn Hansen officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 7 P.M.
