Clarence Hostetler, age 89, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday April 5, 2017. He was born December 11, 1927 in Uniontown, Ohio to the late Roman and Malinda (Hershberger) Hostetler. He was the owner of C & M Auto Business from 1964-2006. Prior to 1964 he worked at Fausnight's and Schoner Chevrolet. After retirement he stayed busy servicing mowers, working in the yard, volunteering and being with family. He was a member of Evermore Community Church (formerly Hartville Mennonite) where he taught Sunday School for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years Clara (Schlabach); children Lana Turner, Sharon (Dana) Grieser, Donald (Sherry) Hostetler; grandchildren Tara (Jeremy) Bowers, Seth (Lorie) Turner, Charlie (Jill) Grieser, Darrell (Kim) Grieser, Dominic (Christy) Hostetler; great-grandchildren Olivia, Ryan and Emily Bowers, Jordan and Ezra Turner, Karley, Hudson and Brady Grieser, Hunter and Isabella Grieser, Dominic, Maddox and Xander Hostetler; siblings Saloma Sommers, Betty Morris, Dorothy (Noah) Schrock, Eli (Joy) Hostetler, Joe (Wilma) Hostetler, Miriam (Willie) Mullet, Paul (Kay) Hostetler, Margaret (Lavern) Slabaugh; siblings-in-law Glen King, Mary Alice Hostetler, Lois Jeanne Hostetler; and nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by siblings Ada Mast, William Hostetler, Sarah King, Roman Hostetler Jr. and Melvin Hostetler.

Calling hours are Sunday 5-8 PM at Evermore Community Church. Funeral services are Monday 11 AM in the church with final viewing an hour prior to services (10-11 AM). Final resting place is the church cemetery.
