Clara A. Miller, age 88, of Hartville passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday evening January 9, 2011. She was born on July 28, 1922, grew up in Geauga County, Ohio and married Andy J. Miller on January 8, 1942. Andy J. and Clara moved to Hartville in 1955. She was a member of Walnut Grove King Church. Her love for the Lord was seen in how she served her family and community. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Andy J.; 8 children John Henry (Esther) of Dover, Ohio, Willie (Edna) of Antrim, Ohio, Bob (June), Paul (Patricia), Perry (Betty), Betty (Loyal) Yoder, Sylvia (Jon) Short, Dave (Joanne) Miller all of Hartville; 25 Grandchildren, 49 Great-grandchildren and 2 Great-great-grandchildren; sister Sylvia (Andy) Troyer of Hartville; and sister-in-law Mary Slabaugh of Burton, Ohio. Preceded in death by her parents Jacob M. and Elizabeth (Yoder) Slabaugh; brother John J. Slabaugh; and infant sister Betty Slabaugh. Calling hours are Wednesday 10 a.m. to noon, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Maple Grove Mennonite Church, 2121 Smith- Kramer St. NE, Hartville. Funeral services are Thursday 10 a.m. at Maple Grove Mennonite Church with Grandson Jason D. Miller of Antrim, Ohio officiating.
